Transportation Alternatives to be Shared at Public Meetings

Cincinnati, OH (05/01/2002) – The public will soon have a chance to tell planners what will work and won’t work for improving transportation in eastern Hamilton and western Clermont counties. The Eastern Corridor study group will share preliminary location alternatives for expanded highway capacity, rail transit, bus, bike and transportation system management (TSM) at five upcoming public meetings. In addition, the complete Eastern Corridor land use vision plan will be available for review and comment.

“We’re trying to make sure we have the right mix of solutions on the table,” said Dave Spinney, administrator for Clermont County. “We’re not asking the public to pick favorite alternatives, we want to know if we’re addressing the right issues and locations with those alternatives. Are we missing something? Or, do we have something in the plan that just won’t work?”
