Cincinnati, OH (05/07/2003) May 7, 2003— The public will have the opportunity to talk
one-on-one with the planners and engineers of the Eastern Corridor Study at the second round of community workshops scheduled for the week of May 19, 2003. The public is invited to review updated general alignments for the recommended bus, rail and highway travel modes. Additionally, the criteria that is being used to evaluate the various alternatives will be shown. The goal of these community forums is to encourage discussion between the public and project team about transportation improvements in eastern Hamilton and western Clermont counties.
“We have made great progress and are excited to present the preliminary results,” said John Dowlin, Hamilton County Commissioner. “This has been a team effort among 17 jurisdictions and we continue to seek input and feedback to ensure that the transportation solutions will serve the needs of the various communities.
The Eastern Corridor public workshops are scheduled for the following locations.

The community workshops and the Eastern Corridor PE/EIS study work is being conducted under the administration of the Hamilton County Transportation Improvement District on behalf of Hamilton County, Clermont County, City of Cincinnati, Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Council of Governments and the Ohio Department of Transportation.
