513.346.3481 Wanted: Community Input for Transportation Plan In the Eastern Corridor
Cincinnati, OH (01/21/2004) The Eastern Corridor Study is concluding the initial phase of the two-part process for the multi-modal transportation study and will be conducting a third round of community workshops that will kick-off on January 29th in Oakley. The public is invited to review the updated alignments for the recommended bus, rail and highway travel modes. Additionally, preliminary information will be provided for the benefits, costs and ranges of impacts for each mode.
"We are addressing long-range community needs and quality of life issues. This project is much more than a transportation study and that is why the public’s input is critical," said John Dowlin, Hamilton County Commissioner. "It is good to see the City of Cincinnati, Hamilton and Clermont counties, Anderson Township, OKI, ODOT and Metro working together. This is the kind of vision and partnership that is necessary to get things done in our region."
